Error ID 24084 when trying to write to tape RRS feed

  • Question

  • In DPM 2007, I am having problems with my tapes, all of them. fisrt of all, in the library tab, the tape description says cleaning tape for all tapes inserted. Second, I cant write, erase or catalog tapes, error displayed is: "DPM only supports physical block sizes between 1024 and 65536 bytes.... error ID 24084.

the error is displayed with and without tape collocation.

I have read on other forums that MS has a "tool" to re-format tapes... is there such tool?

Is this problem solved in 2010?
