  • I already entered my product key but still my windows 8.1 is not activated. Why is that so?

    Control Panel --->System and Security---->System

    How to check the status of Windows 7 or Windows 8 activation

    To get a better support, please share us more details of the issue.
    What is the exact error message when you trying to activate Windows?
    Have you modified anything before this issue start to occur?
    Which kind of product key you used to activate Windows ?
    How did you get Windows 8.1? Clean install or Upgrade?

    Please run slmgr.vbs /dlv command to display the license information and post the result here. It will help us to troubleshoot this issue better.
    If it is a OEM product key, please contact the manufacturer support for help.
    If it is retail key, kindly notice that a retail can only be used to activated one machine, please check if this product key is used before.
