sharepoint 2013 on-prem search functoinality broken for months.. microsoft support not able to fix it RRS feed

  • Hi one of my clients a fortune 500 company has on-prem sharepoint 2013 servers. The search functionality went down sometime back. I raised a support ticket with Microsoft a month ago. The support team has not been able to make any progress in this matter till now. The Index partition remains in degraded state. It has got to the point where due to poor response of the support team, I have to mail them everyday to get an answer. I have been told by the support person that even though they have escalated the issue, there is still no concrete response from their seniors. I am surprised how even Microsoft could not fix an issue with their own product.
