  • Hi,

    Thanks for your post.

Have you tried the fix tool that mentioned from the following KB? Please check if you have left over faulty registry keys under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\COMPONENTS.

Error 1935.An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC90.ATL,version

    https://support.microsoft.com/zh-cn/kb/970652

    Windows Update error 8000FFFF(FIX TOOL)

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/windows-update-error-8000ffff

If you have already tried it and the issue persists, you could refer to the following suggestions:

    1. In some similar cases, the installation was failed because of the pending updates. Please try to reboot the server and perform the installation again to have a test.

    2. Please check if the TrustedInstaller.exe was missing from C:\Windows\Servicing causing the TrustedInstaller service not to function properly. Check the service is fine by running services.msc and make sure the path specified in the TrustedInstaller service leads to a file.

If yes, copying the file from C:\Windows\winsxs and check.

Hope the above information is helpful to you.

    Best Regards,

    Alvin Wang

  • Hi,

    Thanks for your reply.

This error occurs when the Microsoft .Net framework is either damaged or missing. Please try to repair it and check if the issue persists.

    Microsoft .NET Framework Repair Tool

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30135

Besides, the following keys should be deleted if existing:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\COMPONENTS\PendingXmlIdentifier

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\COMPONENTS\NextQueueEntryIndex

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\COMPONENTS\AdvancedInstallersNeedResolving

  • Hi alvin Wang,

Thx for advice. I have try the .Net framework repair tool before. Since like the error still came out.

I found out something weired maybe due to MSI installer functionality itself.

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=7558

  • Hi,

Right click on the icon and go to Properties, then to the Compatibility tab. If there is a check in the "Run this program in compatibility mode for:", clear the check box and click OK, then run the program again.
