  • Some DCOM must be corrupted . Microsoft has helped to get it over by re.iso the windows 10 on,  the auto upgraded win10pro OS.  It is working well and at once backed up it for the later time recovering , keep it well .

Oh, yes, Visual C++ remain the component at the win10pro , ...

  • Hi,

This problem may occur when you use the /GR and the /MD compiler switches, and the version of the Msvcrt.dll file and of the Msvcirt.dll file is 7.0.x.

You can refer the link below to get the hotfix to repair it.

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/884538

Also, you can use System Restore to make the Windows back to the point which use normally.

    Best Regards

  • Thank you expert replying this.

    For hotfix :  http://hotfixv4.microsoft.com/Windows%20XP/sp3/Fix128804/2600

Neither http://support.microsoft.com nor your article here introduced little on whether this fix is working on the reported Error?  So , has yet executed it .

Win10pro undeniably upgraded and prevailed over the win7u , win8.1pro some though, when Win+E opening time the error no long display but at time clicking the "THIS PC" , the aforesaid error elicited please.

  • Hi,

Thanks for your feedback. We doubt that you have not uninstalled the Visual C++ completely then installed the new Visual C++, and that will lead to the issue. You not only need to uninstall the programs in the Control, but also uninstall the Runtime Libraries. You can follow the link below to learn how to uninstall it completely.

  • Hi,

    Thanks for you feedback.

You may still not uninstall it completely though you suppose you didn’t see them in “Control Panel”, because it exists some invalid registry entries in Visual C++. You would better clean up them then you will uninstall Visual C++ completely.
