  • You will not find projectUID in views but is available if writing queries from SQL server. Assignment views are basically views of Task and Resources.  You will not be seeing any project properties.

  • Ok, I need to show to my approvers some information regarding the project the task belongs to, how can I accomplish this?

My users gets lots of tasks a being able to filter and order them is key.

    Thank you!

  • You can create a SSRS reports in which you can use Project, Task, Resource, assignment View. You can use joins to create reports then You can use Parameter for Windows user account so that user who is log in from browser can see all the task, Project name for the task, start date ,finish date etc for which he is acting as status Manager.

As status manager of the task will approve the task progress.

  • Hi fgermano77,

    Can you be more precise?

You would like to have the Project GUID (such as ProjUid=6037a002-abaa-e211-82d3-00155d006e0 as it appears in the IE adress bar) in the "My approvals" PWA page grid? Of are you talking about another enterprise custom field?

Note that the "my approvals" view cannot be customize. Thus it will require some elaborate code to develop a new interface for approval.

Please give us more information on your need and we'll be please to help you.

    Hi there,

I have a list based on "PSWApprovalTask", that is the list that receives the workflows approvals. If I go a check that view I can customize it to show one of another column but I dont find any infomation regarding the "Project" or the Workflow, I only have the Task Title and Description but I´d like to have the Project Name, the Phase, the Project Owner and even some of my Custom Fields if possible, why? because that way I can filter my list and order it as needed (for example to approve everything from one project).

If I could even add columns to the Task and set them from within the workflow that is ok, but if do that I must uncheck the "wait for task completion" mark and that way my workflows stops working...

    Thank you,

  • For this purpose you can create SSRS report from Sharepoint list. You can have project name, approver etc you can create filter also but custom field would not be added in the report as you can get data only from List.

  • Hi,

Here is a link that might help you:

    http://nearbaseline.com/blog/2010/04/project-workflow-approval-task-form-link-problem/

I cannot test it, but can't you just go to the list parameters and add from existing site or list column? Then add the project name or any relevant field?

    Hope this helps.

In fact this was the article that made me realize that the columns exist but are not present on my list, and no, I can not add the columns in any way.
