We are on the phase on implementing the coexistance Exchange 2003 and Exchange 2007 before decommision Exchange 2003. After introduced the Exchange 2007 to production. We have problem with POP3 user account. They are able receive mails but unable to send mails. Error:
The specified server was found, but there was no response from the server. Please verify that the port and SSL information is correct
I have verify with the user who called in that they are able to telnet smtp.contos.com 587 and ping to smtp.contoso.com. Also the POP3 settings are all correct. So, far these problem happened ONLY those who using MS Outlook 2003 SP3 and below. If they are using webmail then they haven't any issue with sending and receiving mails.
Our new infra is like that:
User will connect to NLB virtual name for CAS/Hub roles server and then point to Exchange 2007 Mailbox and Exchange 2003 Back End Server.
