How to get the full keyboard layout id value from windows 10 through command ? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

    I am trying to get the full keyboard layout id value from windows 10 system using command , but I could not find the exact way to get the full value for example (0409:00000409) . My intention is to get this value and add it in registry value

    I tried win32_keyboard wmi class , but it gives only the 00000409 (layout value )

    Tried Get-WinSystemLocale,get-uiculture, etc..

    finally found the Get-WinUserLanguageList , the property inputmethodtips provided the value but is it reliable way to get the exact keyboard layout id ???

    output

    LanguageTag     : en-US
    Autonym         : English (United States)
    EnglishName     : English
    LocalizedName   : English (United States)
    ScriptName      : Latin script
    InputMethodTips : {0409:00000409, 0409:00020409}
    Spellchecking   : True
    Handwriting     : False

    Is there any other command to get the keyboard value which is best ? what if two languages are added ,how to get the primary language set in windows ??

    Thanks in advance
