SQL databases do not show in DPM manager RRS feed

  • Question

  •  Hi,

I am trying to create a DPM 2012 r2 backup of Sharepoint 2013 farm. I have installed the DPM client oan the SQL server 2008 r2. The TSQL01 is the SQL server for the Sharepoint 2013 there is no "ALL SQL Servers" there?? WFE1 is the FE I am using for DPM backup. I have one DB in the farm on another SQL server which is ok. I am using aliases for both SQL servers.

    I ran this,

Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Shared\ and run the following command

    1
    2
    3
    4
    5
    6
    7
    8
    9
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Shared>mofcomp sqlmgmproviderxpsp2up.mof
Microsoft (R) MOF Compiler Version 6.1.7600.16385
Copyright (c) Microsoft Corp. 1997-2006. All rights reserved.
    Parsing MOF file: sqlmgmproviderxpsp2up.mof
MOF file has been successfully parsed
    Storing data in the repository...
    Done!

    nothing changed.

    any ideas?

I see  the SQL server in DPM manager and all the disks, but no SQL db's.

  • Hi Erró

It is possible that aliases are not setup correctly or we are seeing a potential SQL issue. Can you please open a support case so we can troubleshoot this better with logs?

    Thanks
