Answers

  • What is the purpose of the fill-in field?  There are other ways to get information from the user to put in the footer.

    Hope this helps.

  • I'm having the same issue.  The problem as far as getting the same effect another way is that I have a user with hundreds of documents created this way that worked fine before Office 2010.  I am able to recreate this problem with a new blank document on computers running Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 with Office 2010 consistently.  If you need a work around, going to File | Save & Send | Create PDF will work with the fill in fields properly but does not actually resolve the issue.  Any ideas?

  • Hi Doug,

What would be a good solution to solve this problem?

You said: "What is the purpose of the fill-in field?  There are other ways to get information from the user to put in the footer"

How can get the information with out using a fill-in field?

    Thanx!!

  • Hi All,

Below is a quick solution/workaround to fix this bug. Strangely this works !

    • Open MS Word
    • Goto "View" Tab and enable NAVIGATION PANE

Once the navigation pane is enabled, you can close MS Word and reopen the Word document and printing Works Fine !!!
