Computer Lab and Windows 10 updates RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, I am working with a church group who are deploying computer labs across the area.  The computers are built with Windows 10 and deployed with the latest windows updates at the time of build.  In any given lab there are 10 to 25 computers deployed and we are struggling with ideas on how to control windows updates in the Windows 10 world.

These computer labs are all at organizations which help have tight budgets and computers are not left on overnight. The issue we are finding is each of the labs has a moderate internet connection and download speed.  But when 10+ computers are started in the morning and begin downloading a significant windows update at a GB+ this does create a multi-day drain on the internet connection....the same network the on-site staff use also.

Any thoughts or ideas to help ease the network burden for windows 10 updates and ease the deployment of updates across the computer lab and footprint of <g class="gr_ gr_46 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Grammar multiReplace" data-gr-id="46" id="46">PC's</g>?

    thank you so much!
