NAP, a Windows 2003 Domain and VPN RRS feed

  • Question

  • I understand that NAP will work with a Windows 2003 domain by adding the schema extensions.  I also understand the 2003 Cals will have to be updated to 2008 Cals for all clients that will use NAP from a member NAP server within a 2003 domain.  My question, could I set this up on a 2003 domain for only VPN connections through ISA Server 2006 using the 2008 Cals for VPN only.  Thanks

  • Hi,

I'm not familiar with the Cals requirements, but I can tell you that you cannot configure NAP with VPN enforcement using ISA Server 2006 as your VPN server. You must use Server 2008 or Server 2008 R2 as the RRAS provider. Does this answer your question?
