UAG SRA/Appwrap to hide links based on user authorization (not portal) RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am running UAG SP1 with a trunk that once authenticated loads a simple HTML landing page (not the UAG portal) on which users then clik on the application they want to load. (its not the portal for political reasons...grr)

I want to hide links for apps that users are not authorized to view, like you can in the portal.  Anyone got any ideas how you can do that?

I suspect it is not possible but thought it worth asking - I think I will need to rewrite the landing page to have a 401 login and get it to query AD itself for user permissions....but thats fiddly and time consuming

    Thanks, --Zuzzy

  • Hi Zuzzy,

Unforuntely the appwraps are based on applications and not users.

However, we can create an appwrap that is based off of endpoint information.  Example, if the workstation a user  is using has a user certificate issued by the internal CA, then we will allow them to see the links.
