DPM can now backup Exchange 2016

    General discussion

  • Hi,

We are happy to announce support for Exchange 2016 Backup & Recovery using DPM 2012 R2 UR9. There is no change in user experience so existing customers can upgrade to Exchange 2016 and use DPM for protection in the same way as they used it for Exchange 2010 or Exchange 2013.

DPM can backup following Exchange configurations:

    1. Standalone Exchange Server

    2. Exchange DAG, including both the configurations:

For more detailed list of supported scenarios please refer to the TechNet

Note: DPM currently support Exchange 2016 on NTFS data volumes. We are working on adding support for REFS data volumes and will be added in later update.
