Does Publishing Through Approval Center Publish a Project Multiple Times For Multiple Tasks? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Yeah, the title is a mouthful...

If I'm in Approval Center, and I have multiple tasks there (say 5), and these tasks are for the same project, if I select them (via History --> Status Updates) and click <Publish>, will the system Publish the project 5 times?  Or does it do a rollup and only publish it once?

I think I asked that right...

    Thanks! - M

  • Hi Michael,

I just tested your scenario to approve and publish 2 task updates from the same project and I actually got only one project publishing operation in the queue.

Thus I guess the answer to your question is : "Project does a roll-up per project in case there are more than 1 task update to publish for a single project".

    Hope this helps.

  • Thanks Guilaume, I'm coming across issues where, for people that are doing the above, the queue gets stuck/locked at 87% (guess it's an arbitrary number).  I had thought it might be related to the number of publishing operations related to the single project, but if you're seeing just 1 operation for multiple tasks, then there goes that theory...
