Migrating from standard to Enterprise pools - what database needs to be moved? RRS feed

    Hi All,

    I want to move from our current standard FrontEnd pool to Enterprise pool with BackEnd database. My plan is to:

    -Load existing topology

    -create a new SQL BackEnd add as new SQL store in Topology builder

    -create Enterprise pool and new frontend servers

    -Now, in order to decommsion old standard frontend server and database BUT still able to keep existing users do I just need to move the CMS database and point at new instance, and then manually move users via control panel?

    Help appreciated!

    Hi BD2013,

    For your requirement, in my opinion, you could do as following:

    1) Add an Enterprise Edition Front End with a backend SQL server to the topology
    2) Point the Edge server to the new pool as next hop
    2) Move the Central Management store to the new SQL server
    3) Move all users to the new EE pool
    4) Move all conferencing directories, response groups and so on.

    Note: It's same to SFB server 2015.
