Number of mobile phones per mailbox, Exchange 2010? RRS feed

  • I have a mailbox that needs multiple devices attached to it in Exchange 2010.

    First the main users iPhone - working fine

    Then 4 Samsung tablets.  First three connected fine, the 4th activated, but has never synced.  It shows in the phone list, but only the first sync time is filled in, nothing else about the device like the others.

    Any thoughts on what the issue might be?  I tried connecting a 5th Samsung with the same result as the 4th.  This is a hard one to search on, so I'm hoping one of you can help.

  • Yeah, I saw that.  I actually bumped mine to 20 to see if it would help, it didn't.  I also bumped max concurrent...

  • Check eventvwr for id 4696 to see if you're reaching a session limit for this mailbox.

    "Mapi session "00cc8dde-64d7-4353-8050-00fc2057aae3: /O=xxxx/OU=xxxx/cn=Recipients/cn=ward" exceeded the maximum of 32 objects of type "session"."

  • James,  Thanks for the tip, no event 4696 in the Apps, System, or MSExchange logs.

    I was at SP1 rollup7 and upgraded to SP2 rollup4 last night.  However, this didn't help either.

    Imkottees, this is the only box that I've tried this for so far.  I'll try adding a few more to mine and see if I hit the same wall.

    I don’t find any position can be configured to limit the number of devices for a mailbox, but it is possible conflict when multiple devices logon a mailbox on the same time.

    Please try sync multiple devices with one user’s mailbox use other account.
