    Hi,

    I can't remember what I need to configure, but I had this problem once before.

    When I am on the local LAN to exchange, I can connect via Outlook to Exchange fine.

    If I am on any wifi or network not on the local LAN I can not connect. It just can't find the server. However outside the local lan I can still pull up OWA and log in via that method, just Outlook doesn't work.

    I think there is a setting somewhere that disables external Outlook connectivity?

    you need to configure outlook anywhere access:

    Are you Using a self signed certificate ?

    Can't use a self signed cert for Outlook Anywhere. You must use a PKI or Public cert if you want to use OA.

    not sure how to " use a PKI or Public cert " 

    in laymans terms, what do i need to check/uncheck in outlook 2010?
