Connect to Exchange via Outlook in LAN fine, but not when on outside network. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I can't remember what I need to configure, but I had this problem once before.

When I am on the local LAN to exchange, I can connect via Outlook to Exchange fine.

If I am on any wifi or network not on the local LAN I can not connect. It just can't find the server. However outside the local lan I can still pull up OWA and log in via that method, just Outlook doesn't work.

I think there is a setting somewhere that disables external Outlook connectivity?

  • Can't use a self signed cert for Outlook Anywhere. You must use a PKI or Public cert if you want to use OA.
