SS 2.5 IE7 tabs not working RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

so I have setup 3 Steady State 2.5 systems with IE7.  The user that logs in is only a user and when SS 2.5 is activated on that user the tab function in IE7 is taken away again.. This happened in SS 2 and I thought it was fixed in 2.5...

    Am I missing something?

I put Firefox on the systems b/c people wants their tabs and FF works.

    Thanks,

    John

  • Hi John, thanks for the post. What do you mean by "not working"? Do you encoutner any error? I have checked this on my computers and with high restriction under Internet Explorer restrictions, tab still works properly in IE7. Have tried disabling all restrictions under Internet Explorer restrictions?

    Hi Sean,

Ok. I have the user that logs in as just a user under the groups and account.

When that user start IE, tabs are not allowed to be the opened under IE7.. the option under file that reads: New Tab is greyed out and can't be used.

I can try disabling all the restriction under IE restrictions, but none of them say anything about the Tabs..

    Any ideas?

  • Hi John, since this issue still occurs after disabling restrictions in SteadyState, we can believe it is caused by other factors instead of SteadyState. You can try the solution in the following link and check the result:

Meanwhile, you can post this issue to Windows XP or Windows Vista forum for further query:
