Password Issue - Domain Users.

    Question

  • Hi All,

Users changed their password a month ago. Now few users are getting password expire alert .

In our Domain policy we have set 90 days as expiry.

Verified the Replication, The replication is happening with out any issues between domain controllers.

I want to find out the root cause.

    Regards,

  • Hi Suresh,

first let's verify how the password policy is applied to the users..

on one of these few users you mentioned do following :

    - start cmd as admin and run : gpresult /H c:\logs\gpresult.htm

    - check the output htm file and examine the password policy part to verify

    Thanks

    Thanks Mahmoud

  • Hi Suresh,
Did you configure another password policy for the problematic users, such as: Fine-Grained Password Policies?
Fine-grained password policies could be used to apply different restrictions for password and account lockout policies to different sets of users in a domain. Please see: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc770394%28v=ws.10%29.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396
