add computers to a universal group

    Question

  • hello - I have several computers in an OU, all these computers need to be a member of a universal group.

Is there a policy that will automatically add the computer to the u group once a computer is placed in that OU?

  • Policy?  not one I am aware of. But you could script it easy enough, and then place the script in a GPO.  Both Batch and PowerShell will do it.

  • Something like this

    ADD-ADGroupMember “RDPEnabled” –members “STATION01$”

    or Batch (no cmd-lets)

    dsmod group <GroupDN> -addmbr <ComputerDN>
