W32Time ID36 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, we have three PCs interconnected with a switch to make a small isolated LAN. One of the PC is the Time Server. The other two PCs (client) are configured with W32Time service to poll every 900 msec the Time Server in order to synchronise the time. All PCs are running Win XP, SP3.  One client synch perfectly automatically, but the other one works intermittenlty and needs to be synch manually once in a while. Both computers have the same registery settings.
The Event Viewer shows a warning that the time service has not been able to synchronize the system time for 49152 seconds because none of the time providers has been able to
provide a usable time stamp. Also, the Date and Time properties applet shows an error mesage that the server is unreachable.

Would you have an idea how to fix this problem?
