Screen Resolution for Windows 7 RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Hello. When I downloaded windows 7 onto my computer the screen resolution was really low, i think it was 460X600 or something like that, so I need to know how to install the driver for my monitor so I can change the resolution. Please help me out. If you need to know what computer I have, I have a Dell Dimension 8110. Please help with all the answers you can. Thank you

  • I couldn't find the model 8110, the closest I could find was 8100.

  • Have you ran Windows Update yet? Because most of the graphics companies have beta drivers up there. And I couldn't find a Dimension, are you sure that is the correct model? And last if Windows Update doesn't have the drivers, most of the Vista drivers do work for Windows 7.
    Hope this helps!

  • I'm having trouble tracking down the video card in the computer, let alone a driver for it! If you could, please tell us what the card is (open the start bar, and search for device manager, in device manager, it will be under display adapters.)

  • Google drivers for Geforce 3, download the latest. Thats what the 8100 has in it.

  • You could go to the Dell Support Site and enter in your express service tag.  This will give you the name of the video card installed in the computer as well as a link to the Vista drivers for that machine.

  • Did no one notice the link in my post above? I linked directly to the dell site for the 8100 that has all the drivers.

  • I did but I also know that the 8100 can have like 15 different video cards in it, and I was trying to see if it had been upgraded ect.
