migrateuser has broken central administration RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

I recently ran the stsadm -o migrateuser command as part of a migration process, the user I migrated was the primary site collector. The migration command ran OK and did exactly what it should but it has broken parts of the central administration. I think this is because the user in question was assigned the primary site collection admin and rather than replacing it with the new account, the command stripped it out, it hasn't done it's job properly.

Now when I go into central administration, and click on any of the following:

    1. Site Collection List
    2. Site Collection Admins
    3. Site Collection Quotas and Looks

I get the following error "User cannot be found."

When I try replacing the primary site collection administrator using "stsadm –o siteowner" I get the same error.

Has anyone seen this before? :(

This is for Windows SharePoint Services 3.0.
