Meeting requests are adding groups RRS feed

  • Question

  • Exchange 2010 Version 14.3 (Build 123.4), Outlook 2010, we are having an issue when a user A sends a meeting request using a room resource to User B, User B will respond and the response in User A's mailbox will have 3 groups added to it. Also the delegate will get a response the the "Meeting is no longer on the calendar and cannot be found. This is happening to multiple Users/delegate/rooms. Trying to track down root cause.

    Any help is appreciated.

  • Hello Pat

    Thanks for question.

What CU you are using? I will suggest to update this to latest.

Analyse the tracking for the requests being sent and received. Try to create a new DB and two test users in this. Try to test the same scenarios with them.

  • We enabled the calendar room and logged on to that account and opened the Outlook profile and we saw the groups as delegates, the delegates were added when this used to be a "User" calendar and was changed to a "Room" calendar when we upgrade to 2010.

  • Hi,

Please check if there are any transport rules will add that 3 groups.

At the same time, check the inbox rule of UserB.

Normally, only transport rule or inbox rule will add recipients during mail flow.

And whose delegate? User A's ? Room Mailbox's?

    Best Regards.
