Alert notifications on sub folders RRS feed

  • We have several sub folders under a parent folder.

    Parent folder - Sign in Sheets

    Sub Folders - NJ, NY, CA, FL

    Currently, if users set up an alert on one folder, say NJ, they receive alerts even when files are modified/created/deleted in other folders, say in NY.

    How can we configure such that the user only receives alerts when changes are made to the NJ folder.

  • Hi nvarchar,

    On one of the email alerts that your user has received, you can instruct him/her to click on the "Modify my alert settings" link in that email. This will bring him/her to the "My Alerts on this Site page" so he/she can view the existing alerts on the site.

    On the list in that page, click on the folder/list link. This will bring the user to the page where he can edit the frequency of alerts, etc.

    Under the Change Type section, select Only send me alerts when: "New items are added".

    The user will then receive alerts only when new doc/item is added. Hope this helps!
