Virtual HDD disk clean up RRS feed

  • Hi, I have window server 2012 and running as hyper v host server name Host01. 

    In this host server i am running window server 2012 as VM server VM01, in host01 server when i check size of virtual hdd of VM01, this was around 300 GB.

    I logging in VM01 server and deleted so many unused data around 100 GB. after restarting the server virtual machin HDD size is still remain for 300 GB.

    Any one help me to understand what is the issue and how to resolved this.

  • Assuming you're using dynamically expanding disks, you need to compact them manually.
