Documentum Search Connector Security Trimming Issue RRS feed

  • Question

  • I've configured Documentum connector for FAST for SharePoint 2010 refer to the following URLs. with "UserMappingTable" configuration.

but every account log in get the same search results which is incorrect. The expected results should represent the search results depends on user permission in Documentum.

    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff756030.aspx

    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=32d0980a-4b9a-4b0d-868e-9be9c0d75435

    with this powershell command.

Set-SPEnterpriseSearchDCTMConnectorConfig -ACLTranslation "UserMappingTable" -UnmappedAccount "DiscardACE" -UserMappingTableSQLServer "MyDatabaseServer" -UserMappingTableDBName "DCTMUserMappingDB" -UserMappingTableName "UserMappingTable" -DFSURL "My_RepositoryName\http://MyDocumentumServerName:9080/services\\" -DisplayURLPatternForDocument "http://MyDocumentumServerName:8080/webtop/component/drl?objectId={ObjectId}&format={Format}&RepositoryName={RepositoryName}" -DisplayURLPatternForContainer "http://MyDocumentumServerName:8080/webtop/component/drl?objectId={ObjectId}&RepositoryName={RepositoryName}" -PersistDCTMACL 1

Configuration table "UserMappingTable" has set up like the below image.

If you have any idea please share.

    Thanks

  • Hi PJ,

My understanding is that Documentum security mappings are not currently possible.  Microsoft is actively investigating this issue, and will release details about any changes to this subject area, once available.

    Thanks!

  • FYI, with the new FAST Search for Sharepoint Feb CU that came out this week(2/29/2012) are some new
bits for custom security trimming. Now these bits are made specifically to connect to Documentum and use AD style security credentials but you can also use them to create custom connectors. Blog post below covers the process of how to setup the FAST farm for these bits and how to setup all the backend services to get custom security running.

  • Hi all,

Did you apply the feb 2012 CU ? I am really interested as I am configuring documentum connector for fast.

However, I have a basic problem: I can't find any link to the Feb 2012 CU for Fast. and the "Updates for Enterprise Search Products" Microsoft Page  do not provide any link to get it.

    Thank you in advance,

    Pierre
