Multilevel numbering not working - Word 2010 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Anybody think of an explanation or solution to why the multilevel numbering doesn't work?

I have an exercise I use when I'm training that always works with multilevel numbering, however, yesterday it didn't work with one of my delegates. It worked with the rest of them. When I tried it on his computer inste4ad of:

    1.

    1.1

    1.2

    etc

    I got:

    1.

    2. (although the 2 was indented)

    Any thoughts?

  • On his computer, in Word, select File > Options.

Select Proofing, then click AutoCorrect Options...

Activate the AutoFormat As You Type tab.

In the Automatically as you type section, tick the check box Set left- and first-indent with tabs and spaces.

    Click OK, then OK again.

    Does that make a difference?
