setting default for opening zip files IE11 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is there a setting in IE11 that permits setting a default that zip files will be opened and not saved. The option is not where I thought it should be.  Thank you.

  • Hi,

Tools>View Downloads... locate your download in the list (if you have not already deleted it. X button on the RHS of the list item).

At the bottom of the Downloads manager there is an options link where you can set the folder where your downloads will be copied to during the TCP download process.

    Regards.

  • Hi Charlotte ja,

Have you configured the default program to open the zip file ?

Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Default Programs\Set Default Programs

Choose a unzip program and set it as a default program .

    Best regards
