  • Hello Prashanth Jadhav,

May I know what you want to do with this network adapter?

According to my search, this network adapter is generally used to build virtual networks.

Windows 7 does not support the Hyper-V feature. From the picture, you also installed VMware. If you want to use the features of a virtual computer, I suggest you download this: Windows Virtual PC.

    Best Regards,

    Leon

  • Hello Leon,

We are trying to emulate a UNIX alpha 4.0 Server using the Charon emulation Software.

    https://stromasys.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/KBP/pages/17039453/Using+X-Windows+with+Charon-AXP

Once the UNIX server has been emulated.

We would be using VcXsrv server to have the GUI of the UNIX Desktop.

If we are launching the Xwindows GUI from another machine it would work fine.

Our objective is to have the VSXsrv on the host operating system and this requires the Microsoft Virtual Ethernet Adapter

(The information is in the URL i have mentioned above.)

The installation of Vmware and Virtual Box was to test the working of the Vsxsrv application from a virtual machine.

  • Hello Prashanth Jadhav,

After doing a lot of research, I suggest you try to install Windows Virtual PC first.

This network adapter is typically used to build a virtual network on a machine that can run Hyper-V services. If this network adapter is not working properly, updating the driver or installing the Hyper-V integration service will solve the problem. But the annoying thing is that Windows 7 does not support Hyper-V.

Code 10 is usually caused by not updating the HAL (hardware abstraction layer) in time. This looks like a problem with the operating system. I am not quite sure how to solve this problem because this is a forum for Network.

So I suggest you install the virtual service supported by Windows 7 first to see if it works.

    Best Regards,

    Leon
