After installing the 2019-06 Monthly Quality Rollup (KB4503292) on Windows 7 Pro x64, the OS could not boot, and the Automatic Repair did not help. RRS feed

    After installing the 2019-06 Monthly Quality Rollup (KB4503292) on Windows 2008 R2 VM. The windows update was failed to install.

    Please suggest.

    Does the machine cannot boot up after install KB4503292?

    Please try the following steps to uninstall this update: 

    1. Insert the Windows 7 DVD installation disk onto the issued machine, then start from DVD.
    2. Don’t click on “Next” and enter “SHIFT + F10” to start a command line.
    3. Command line console will pop up and enter below commands
    4. X:\sources> dism /image:C:\ /get-packages > C:\PackagesList.txt
    5. Open file C:\PackagesList.txt from notepad
    6. Search “4503292” from notepad and copy the Package Identity (Package Identity may not be same in different PC)
    7. X:\sources> dism /image:C:\ /remove-package /PackageName:<Package Identity>
    8. X:\sources> del /get-packages > C:\PackagesList.txt
    9. X:\sources> cd C:\windows\system32\codeintegrity
    10. C:\windows\system32\codeintegrity> del bootcat.cache
    11. Reboot PC
