  • Hi Najim Sabah,

Please open an command line and run "FORFILES /P %WINDIR%\servicing\Packages /M Microsoft-Windows-InternetExplorer-*11.*.mum /c "cmd /c echo Uninstalling package @fname && start /w pkgmgr /up:@fname /quiet /norestart" to uninstall Internet Explorer 11 completely, then restart the machine.

  • nothing is showing as process iexplorer.

A typo would explain that part of the symptom.  The process name is  iexplore.exe

Otherwise, if you have any other browser installed, especially one which has made itself default it would probably be a good idea to undo that and make IE the only installed browser and de facto deault.

    Good luck

  • Hi Najim Sabah,

When did the issue start to occur? Have you made any modifications to the machine before? How did you reinstall Internet Explorer 11(Turn off, turn on)?

Please run "iexplore.exe -extoff" to open Internet Explorer without add-ons to have a troubleshoot.

    Best regards

  • Dear All,

this issue is happened due to a windows update,at that time the system was having IE 9 and it got installed with IE 11.

After that onward IE was not working at all.

uninstalled those windows updates and roll back to previous IE.Even from that also it didn't work.

By default IE is the browser.

already tried iexplore.exe -extoff from run.

    still the same.

Uninstalled from Turn Windows feature On and Off and from windows Updates.

all other browsers got uninstalled, and tried with IE 11,still the same.

    "NO MORE PROCESS AS IEXPLORER.EXE"

    "NO MORE PROCESS AS IEXPLORER.EXE"

Still the same typo.   ; ]

However, this is looking like a common problem of users trying to installl IE11 before being completely up-to-date with whatever level of IE that they have.  To check that idea you can use IE's Help About Update versions link (to show that it at least goes to somewhere that describes the current cumulative security update for whatever level of IE that is current)  AND  then use msinfo32.exe  Loaded Modules, sorted by Version to see if the highest and lowest versions of IE modules are consistent with that assumption.  Note that IE modules will always be present even if IEXPLORE.EXE is not running.  Often when users do that they discover that there are some surprising omissions in their maintenance, which somehow don't show up with SFC but may be more likely to show up when they run CheckSUR and look at its diagnostics.
