How to change List Item permissions to allow another Associate to take ownership? RRS feed

  • Hi All,

    For the training List site under the course Office portal we have a My View that only permits the creator of the item and all Admins to see the item. Due to a recent retirement an associate is no longer with the company and his work has been assimilated by a co-worker. How can we reset the permissions of the Vendor Assessment items opened/created by ABC user and assign them to XYZ users?​

  • Hi ,

    If it is okay to Add another column .

    List level changes

    Add a people picker column name Delegate (Any other you like ).

    Add new co-worker name in the Delegate column for the ex-associate created items .

    View Level changes .

    Add additional filter OR delegate column is equal to [Me].

    it will help for future delegations also ..
