Hi
Should you manually remove the Exchange 2003, is it dead?
You could use ADSIEdit .. Configuration Container -> Exchange Servers -> Administrative Group -> Server... delete the server object from here.

It will remove the server from the Active Directory
Verify that your public folders and the hierarchy works like it should before doing the operation

The Server does not startup it is a virtual server.
Will this remove it all from system manager that it does not display there?
Hi Michael,
If the server can startup as expected and it works, I would suggest you try to uninstall the server first.

In addition, if you only have the System Manager installed on the Exchange 2003 server, and you cannot access it, you can install it on any Windows XP machine in the domain (as long as you login as Domain/Exchange admin), and so you can delete the old exchange from there (instead of using ADSI Edit).
