Where do I place the BI center site in Project 2010 if it is to be used for many projects- each indivudally? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have 40 project sites in Project Server 2010. I want to set up a dashboard for each one. Do I create a new BI center under each project site (i.e. 40 dashboards) or do I set up one master BI center with 40 dashboards?

    I am assuming the later.

Answers

  • On PWA --> 1 BI -->1 Dashboard for all the 40 projects

Manage the Dashboard with the help of permission settings.    -->Library settings -->Permissions for this document library

  • In addition to Sriram's answer, you might also want to check out the demo Hyper-V image that's been released.  That has a nice example of a dashboard which allows you to drill down into individual projects.  You could add a link to the SSRS report for each project from the individual workspace.
