Windows Server 2012 R2 not automatically rebooting for deadline updates

    Question

  • Hello,

We've got a a couple of Server 2012 R2's machines (the majority reboot fine) which do not reboot automatically for deadline updates.

When you log in after it should of rebooted the pop up message about "Restarting in X Minutes X Seconds - your pc needs to restart to finish installing important updates" pops up for about 0.5 seconds but you can see it says "Restarting in 0 minutes 0 seconds" and then it dissapears and about 20 seconds late it flashes again.

Is there a KB article about this anywhere with a specific update we need to install as it looks like a bug, but like I said not all of our machines do it, so very odd!.

    Thanks
