Does jdbcconnector.bat do a full crawling or incremental? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    I use "jdbcconnector.bat start -f D:\FASTSearch\etc\jdbcTemplateConfig.xml" to feed data,

But i don't understand  whether this command do a full crawling or incremental crawling?

And How can it do a incremental crawling?

    Regards,

  • If you enable ChangeDetection (see the \etc\jdbctemplate.xml), it will feed only updates to the search index. It will however still do a full select of your database.

If you want real incremental crawl you need to provide the JDBCSQLFile/JDBCTimeStampField parameters, then update your SQL to include a %TIMESTAMP%. The timestamp be filled automatically with the latest date seen in the database.
