  •

I have recently installed windows 10 on my laptop and I have found that when I go to skype and try and call someone it says "problem with playback device". Before I upgraded my widows everything was working perfectly fine, I have done the right click volume, playback devices, recording devices and all that but I still cant get it to work

  • Have you checked to see if your drivers are installed? Does the microphone show up in device manager? Have you tried reinstalling the drivers? Have you tried installing the drivers in compatibility mode?

  • Hi Khalen Ferris,

Did the audio issue only occur with the Skype apps?
First of all, please update the audio driver or reinstall the audio driver from the device manager. It is recommended to download the driver from the device manufacturer website.

If the issue only occurred with the Skype apps, we could refer to the following link to have a troubleshoot.

If the audio didn`t work anywhere and you have installed the latest driver, please contact the the machine manufacturer to get a Windows 10 compatible driver.

    Best regards
