  • Question

  • Hi All,

    i have problem.

i used DHCP server WS2012 R2 (installed on DC) and running on VMware. this dhcp server has been runing 6 month but somehow today is gone.

dhcp server has been authorized, status scope active, and service DHCP Server is started. but client cant obtain ip address from dhcp server, if i set static ip on computer client it work fine.

    what should i check ?

    Thank you

  • hi,

you have not shared what range of Ip is getting to  client.

is dhcp os  is licenced and activated?

    Try to do these steps

    Ipconfig /release

    and Ipconfig/renew

if above steps not working, disjoin client from domain and re add to domain.

    hope fully it works.

  • HI Mylavarapu

when problem appear OS dhcp server not activated/licensed but now has been licensed.

Is this problem because os has not been licensed ? after os licensed service has been started but client still get ip. i had try ipconfig release renew.

    thanks
