Users account locks out ever 5 min. I can't find the source. RRS feed

  • I have a user that has the account locking out every 5 min.  I can't find the computer or the application at fault.  I have tried lockoutstatus.exe but all it tells me is the server that handled the request.  Which doesn't do me a lot of good.  I have also enabled account logon auditing failures on our domain controller group policy.  But it shows no failures even though I can see the account is getting locked.

    Help is very appreciated, this is getting very aggravating.

    BTW we are using server 2008.

  • Well I feel a bit dim.  Apparently this was due to a configured phone that user failed to mention.


    Usually after changing their password they complain about errors on the phone or not getting up to date email, which probably would have prompted me to check that sooner.
