System Discovery is Discovering "Excluded" Systems RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hey Everybody,

This seems like a no-brainer to me, could somebody help me with what I missed?

I've recently taken over an SCCM environment.  All of the VDI desktops were discovered and because of site-wide client push, SCCM is trying to install the client on those devices.  The business has decided that they prefer these systems to be excluded from the SCCM devices inventory completely as opposed to excluding them from the client install.  I reconfigured Active Directory System Discovery to only scan the OUs that don't include the VDI environment, and then I deleted the VDI devices from devices.  After some time, all of the VDI devices have returned in the devices tab.

Any idea what I may have missed? None of the VDI desktops have the client installed, and System Discovery shouldn't pick them up now that I've "excluded" those OUs.

    Thanks in advance!

  • Bring up the properties of such a system in the CM console and see which agent added it.
