ACT 5.6 - what is gained by running a DCP over a long duration? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm pretty new to the ACT tool.

I don't understand what is gained (if anything) by running the data collection package (DCP) over an extended period of time.

What additional information is gained by running the scan over 3 days compared to a scan of 3 hours?

    Sorry for the newbie question!

  • By using the Application Compatibility Manager, you can create data collection packages (DCPs) to gather your installed software, hardware, and device information, in addition to determining any associated compatibility issues based on applications, Web sites, or Windows updates for your selected client computers.

For more information, please refer to:

The scanned contents should be not related to the scanning frequency.
