Report Builder 2.0 was available only as a standalone application that you or your administrator installed directly on your local computer, besides this, please make sure you have meet the System Requirements, for detail steps about installing Report builder 2.0 please see: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd207099(v=sql.100).aspx

  • Hi vikram kansal,

Could you please specify your problem? Does this error occur when you open the report builder on report manager or launch it from end user as a separate application?

If on report manager, actually, Report Builder uses ClickOnce technology to download and install its application files on a client computer when you Edit a report. ClickOnce sends requests that specify Windows integrated security in the authentication header. If a server is configured for a different authentication type, the server will fail requests from ClickOnce with an error. Please see: How to: Configure Report Builder Access http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms365173.aspx

If the error occur when launches it as a separate application from end-user, I think it has some unexpected issue when install, I would recommend uninstall and reinstall Report builder 2.0 again.

Which is availabe at this link http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?familyid=9f783224-9871-4eea-b1d5-f3140a253db6&displaylang=en

    Thanks,
    Challen Fu

  • Hi Challen Fu,

It is during when the user tries to launch it from their desktop, tried to reinstall it but no effect. Still the same issue.

Does a user require admin priveleges on their machine to run RB2.0?

    Regards,

    Vikram Kansal
