  • PerformancePoint based on web services + Planning service (core windows service written on c#). iisreset affects all running web services as I know. Plus, you can issue additional command like : net stop PPSPlanningService then net start PPSPlanningService

  • This just does an iisreset.  I was wondering if there is any way to properly shut down the PerformancePoint services prior to shutting down the server for maintenance.  Currently, I have the server scheduled to shut down with psshutdown.exe.

  • The net stop idea sounds like a good answer.  Thanks for the reply.
