How to check if data has expired on previous disk RRS feed

  • Hi,

After you migrate data from old disk to new disk, the old disk will be removed from the DPM storage pool so it is no longer used for new protected data sources. The expired recovery points will be pruned nightly and based on the retention range, this will continue until all recovery points are deleted. Once all recovery points for a data source are expired and deleted, the replica and revovery point volumes for that data source will be deleted from the disk(s).  So, look in Windows disk management and as soon as the migrated disk is all "unallocated" free space, you can convert it back to basic, then remove it from the system.
