  • Hi,

You need to get StorageTek STKLIB Library Driver v2.03.00.0 or later for Windows Server 2003 / 2008 32-bit x86 and 64-bit x64/ia64 Platforms.

  • Hi,

If it is a physical SUN StorageTek L40 tape library, contact SUN.

If it a Virtual tape library (VTL) from EMC / Data Domains, contact them and they will most likely redirect you to open a support case to get the drivers.

  • Hi,

I do not believe there are x64 drivers on the Windiows catalog, and you need v2.03.00.0 or later to be fully compatible with DPM.

  • Hi,

Yes, Only certain version of the drivers work as noted above.  8-)

Unfortunatly licensing restriction prevent us from distributing the drivers freely - if you open a support case with us we can provide the drivers to you.  I know that is not most desirable way of getting drivers, but those were the terms we need to adhere to.  When you talk to an MS DPM Support engineer reference ID SOX090409700051 or ID  2329095.

If you want to pursue this immediatly, you can visit the following web site to open a support incident. http://support.microsoft.com/select/Default.aspx?target=assistance

In the Quick product finder, enter:

System Center Data Protection Manager [2007 or 2010]
or System Center 2012 then select System Center 2012 Data Protection Manager

In the next screen, chose the option that applies.

  • Hi

Show me a screen shot of the details tab for the library .SYS driver found in the system32\drivers folder.

And a screenshot of the Library TAB in DPM console so I can see how DPM Sees it.
