SharePoint Apps ~ Purchase Apps Link


  • We have successfully setup SharePoint apps in our test environment. From any site collections we can get to the app store. We click the purchase apps link in Central Admin however, we get "Sorry, we can't seem to connect to the SharePoint Store. Try again in a bit."

    This server is behind a firewall and our network team verified that port 80 and 443 are open to everywhere. The ULS logs show this:

    Request to with the following URL:?lc=en%2DUS&type=3&build=15%2E0%2E4779%2E1000&av=OSU150&origin=EC101785291&corr=%7B758ae29d%2Dee5c%2D4059%2Dc5a1%2D7c80d936d93d%7D&clientip=::1 caused a URL exception. Maybe marketplace settings are not setup. Exception details: System.UriFormatException: Invalid URI: The URI scheme is not valid.   

    and, An exception was thrown while running task 'GetOfficeMarkets'. Microsoft.SharePoint.SPException: Sorry, we can't seem to connect to the SharePoint Store. Try again in a bit.

  • Hi PawnofGod,

    Please try running the following cmdlet to update the URL used to point to the SharePoint Store, check if it works.

    Set-SPAppStoreConfiguration -Url -Enable $true

    Meanwhile, downloaded the certificates from and installed to SharePoint Trusted Root Certificate authority, then compare the results.
