Defender ATP standalone product RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am able through CSP to buy Defender ATP as a standalone product for around 4.x $. But why is Microsoft docs still stating this about license requirements?

    • Windows 10 Enterprise E5
    • Windows 10 Education A5
    • Microsoft 365 E5 (M365 E5) which includes Windows 10 Enterprise E5
    • Microsoft 365 E5 Security
    • Microsoft 365 A5 (M365 A5)

    Page is updated 04/15/2020.

    My second question:
If I want to connect Defender ATP with Intune for example, the Microsoft docs again says that I need Microsoft 365 E5 or Windows Enterprise E5: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/intune/protect/advanced-threat-protection

Is that information wrong as well? Is the standalone version sufficient?
