  • Question

  • This is more of a statement than a question.  Microsoft in it's quest for Computer Domination has again screwed up !  Though Windows 7 Pro seems to run better than Vista it is lacking some of the tools that are useful to Technicians.  I used the telnet function in the command line interface of previous versions of windows.  This no longer exists in Windows 7 Pro. There are other problems that are caused by the streamlining of Windows that I wont get into.  I guess I will stick with my MacBook Pro.  It seems to do everything I need it to do in my profession as an IT support person.

  • Telnet is there in Windows 7 but not available by default, you can enable it by following the steps.

Start --> Control Panel --> Program and Features --> Turn Windows Features on and off --> select telnet client from the list --> click ok and you are done!

personally i like Windows 7 both as an IT pro and as an user!
